Works With Your Original Prusa® MK4S to CORE One+ (Gen 2) Conversion Kit
MK4S → CORE One+ (Gen 2) Conversion Kit
Turn your MK4S into a fully enclosed CoreXY printer.
Everything you need to rebuild an Original Prusa MK4S into a Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) — the enclosed, actively heated CoreXY machine, with no compromise against a factory-built unit. The result takes up less desk space, prints faster, handles a larger build volume, and runs demanding materials like PC, PCCF and Nylon without warping.
Preorder — expected to ship Mid-September. Order now to hold your place in line.
Before you order — two compatibility checks
- xLCD version. This kit is supplied for the newer xLCD revision. Check which xLCD your MK4S shipped with; if you have the older revision, contact us before ordering and we will include the additional components you need.
- Power supply. The silver PSU is not compatible with the conversion kit.
The conversion kit contains all the parts required to transform your MK4S into a CORE One+ (Gen 2): the all-steel exoskeleton enclosure, the CoreXY motion assembly with GT1.5 belts, the redesigned heatbed mounting, the nozzle wiper, chamber ventilation hardware, the bayonet-style spoolholder, wiring, fasteners and the full assembly guide.
Supplied in the kit
- All-steel exoskeleton enclosure and panels
- CoreXY motion assembly, GT1.5 belts and pulleys
- Redesigned Gen 2 heatbed mounting
- Nozzle wiper and automatic top vent mechanism
- Bayonet-style spoolholder
- Cabling, fasteners and hardware
- Step-by-step assembly manual
Reused from your MK4S
- Print sheets
- Hotend and nozzles
- Nextruder assembly
- Electronics and display (newer xLCD)
- Many other proven MK4S components
The CORE One+ deliberately shares many parts with the MK4S. That is what makes this conversion possible — and what keeps your existing accessories useful.
Fully enclosed CoreXY architecture
CoreXY moves a lightweight print head instead of the heavy bed, so the machine reaches much higher speeds without giving up quality. Input Shaper compensates vibration; travel speeds reach 600 mm/s. The enclosure is structural, not an accessory — the all-steel exoskeleton is what makes that rigidity possible.
The right environment for advanced materials
The compact chamber reaches up to 55 °C quickly, so ASA, ABS, PC, PA (Nylon) and carbon-filled blends print without lifted corners or split layers. Active temperature control and automatic ventilation mean PLA still prints flawlessly with the door closed.
- Automatic top vent operation: the extruder opens the vent for low-temperature materials (PLA, PETG) and closes it for high-temperature materials — a genuine set-and-forget thermal environment.
- Easy flex loading: a redesigned filament insertion point makes feeding TPU and other flexibles quick and simple.
- New bayonet-style spoolholder: takes various spool sizes and is ready for a direct-feed drybox.
- GT1.5 belts and nozzle wiper: finer surface finish and a clean nozzle at every print start.
- Redesigned heatbed mounting: removes the separate heat-soak wait for bed temperatures up to 85 °C.
- Firmware: every software improvement developed across the CORE One lifespan, included from the first boot.
- MK4S owners who want an enclosed CoreXY machine without buying a second printer or selling the first.
- Anyone printing engineering materials who is tired of fighting warping on an open-frame printer.
- Print farms and workshops recovering bench space — the CORE One+ footprint is far smaller than an MK4S inside an enclosure.
- People who enjoy the build. This is a full teardown-and-rebuild, in the same spirit as a Prusa assembly kit.
