Built in the USA. CORE One+ (Gen 2) units sold through our e-shop and on Amazon are produced at Prusa's US factory in Delaware, on the same tooling, firmware and QC process as EU production.

What's New in the CORE One+ (Gen 2)

Already familiar with the CORE One+? Generation 2 keeps everything that made it a bestseller and sharpens the three things you notice most in day-to-day printing: how long you wait before the nozzle moves, how the finished surface looks, and how clean the very first layer comes out.

Less waiting

Faster print starts

The redesigned heatbed mounting removes the separate "Absorbing heat" wait for materials using bed temperatures up to 85 °C — that covers PLA, PETG and most everyday printing. Higher-temperature materials benefit from a shorter wait as well.

Better finish

Smoother-looking surfaces

New GT1.5 belts make unwanted repeating patterns finer and harder to notice, especially on large, smooth surfaces where even subtle artifacts can stand out.

Cleaner first layer

Cleaner print starts

The integrated nozzle wiper cleans filament from the nozzle before printing, helping keep loose strands and small blobs away from the print surface.

CORE One+ Gen 2 hardware improvements

Everything the "+" already brought, still included

  • Automatic Top Vent Operation: the printer opens the vent for low-temperature materials (PLA, PETG) and closes it for high-temp materials — true set-and-forget.
  • Easy Flex Loading: a redesigned filament insertion point makes feeding flexible filaments like TPU quick and simple.
  • New Bayonet-Style Spoolholder: accommodates various spool sizes and is ready for a direct-feed drybox setup.
  • All Firmware Updates: every software improvement developed across the entire CORE One lifespan — better print profiles, smoother motion, improved sensors — shipping from day one.

Your First Print in Three Steps

You'll have your first 3D print in your hands in no time. No tinkering required.

1. Unbox and set up in 10 minutes

Hassle-free setup

Attach the display, plug it in and run the one-time automatic calibration. The printer handles leveling and sensor checks on its own. No manual adjustment, no guesswork.

2. Pick something awesome to print

Print-ready files

Browse over a million free models on Printables.com — from phone stands and tools to art and mechanical parts. Use EasyPrint on your phone to prepare the model with a few quick taps.

3. Hit print and walk away

...or stay and watch!

Transfer your model into the printer via Wi-Fi, USB, or the Prusa app. Press Start. With Gen 2 the heat-soak wait is gone for most materials, so the nozzle gets moving sooner. It'll notify you when it's done.

What can be 3D-printed?

The CORE One+ is here to surprise you with its infinite usability. Be sure to add a couple of Prusament spools to your order, so you can try different things!

Accessories to consider

The CORE One+ works perfectly out of the box. Still, you may want to consider these accessories to level up your 3D printing game.

1080p Camera with Night Vision

Install an optional 1080p camera for remote print monitoring. Connects with a USB-C cable directly into the motherboard and requires an active Wi-Fi connection.

Advanced Filtration System

Useful when printing ASA and other materials that produce an increased number of ultra-fine particles and fumes.

Additional nozzles & sheets

Consider a hardened nozzle for abrasive engineering materials, or smaller nozzles for highly detailed models.

Features & Architecture

Fully Enclosed CoreXY Architecture

The advanced CoreXY motion system moves the lightweight printing head instead of the heavy base, allowing for much higher speeds without losing quality. Input Shaper firmware compensates for vibration at high speeds, with travel speeds reaching 600 mm/s. In Gen 2, new GT1.5 belts refine the motion further — repeating surface patterns become finer and far harder to spot.

Fully Enclosed CoreXY Architecture

Active Chamber with Smart Ventilation

The printer's enclosed chamber heats up to 55 °C. The system monitors temperatures at all times and adjusts automatically to create the best environment for any material you choose. Optional HEPA filtration integrates directly into the enclosure for offices and schools.

Active Chamber Temperature Control

Nextruder: Precision at Every Layer

The Nextruder is our next-gen print head featuring a precise load cell sensor that measures force at the nozzle tip — the nozzle itself becomes the probe. Because it is physical, it cannot be confused like optical sensors. Plus, 360-degree cooling means steep overhangs print cleanly without supports, and nozzles (0.25 mm to 0.8 mm) swap in seconds without tools. Gen 2 adds an integrated nozzle wiper that cleans the tip before the print begins.

Robust Steel Exoskeleton

All-steel exoskeleton — the enclosure is structural, not an accessory. Exceptional rigidity at high speeds. Nothing is glued. Everything comes apart with a screwdriver. Designed for modders and tinkerers, with replacement parts stocked for years.

Compact Footprint, Large Volume

50% less desk space than an MK4S inside an enclosure, yet 30% more print volume (250 × 220 × 270 mm). That efficiency matters whether you're fitting one printer on a desk or 600 into a print farm — which is exactly what Prusa Research does at its own facility.

Compact Footprint

Open-Source Hardware & Firmware

CAD files are published. Firmware source code is on GitHub. You can inspect, modify, or compile your own version. No locked bootloaders, no cloud dependency. We've been shipping open-source printers since 2012.

Open-Source Hardware & Firmware
The key to successful prints

Active Chamber Temperature Control

Engineering materials warp when they cool unevenly — corners lift, layers separate, prints fail. The CORE One+ prevents this with a compact chamber that hits up to 55 °C, creating a stable environment. And the best part? While other printers need you to open the door for low-temp materials like PLA, you can keep the CORE One+ closed thanks to smart chamber ventilation.

What Makes Prusa 3D Printers Secure

Built in the EU and the USA

Prusa maintains full control over manufacturing and supply chain. Critical electronics are produced on Prusa's own PCB line in Prague, and CORE One+ (Gen 2) units for our e-shop and Amazon are built at the US factory in Delaware.

Open Source Assets

Our firmware and PrusaSlicer are open-source, which means the entire source code is available on GitHub for anyone to inspect.

The Printer Belongs to You

True offline capability ensures your machine will never turn into a useless brick. If a cloud service goes down or a company changes its terms, your printer keeps working exactly as it did on day one.

"There is a real risk that data on prints, design models, or production processes could be transmitted to servers beyond the user's control, including to the territory of the PRC."

— National Cyber and Information Security Agency, 2025

100% Privacy: Offline Mode without Compromise

You don't have to connect the CORE One+ to the network — not even once — and you can still enjoy the full experience without any drawbacks. The printer can be configured and operated offline, including slicing and installation of firmware updates. The Wi-Fi module can be easily unplugged for environments with the highest level of security.

Our Story

Making 3D printers since 2012

From the heart of Europe to the entire world

Prusa Research is a 3D printer manufacturer based in Central Europe — in Prague, Czech Republic. It is now a team of over 1,000 people, with a factory in Delaware, USA that builds the CORE One+ (Gen 2) units sold in our e-shop and on Amazon. But it started as a one-man project.

In 2010, Josef Průša designed an open-source printer that hobbyists could actually afford. It caught on. Years later, the company is still independently owned and still making printers the same way — designed in-house, built to last, and shared openly with the community that helped build them.
