Upgrade your 3D printer with this easy-swappable 400°C (752 °F) HT Hotend and unlock the ability to print high-temp materials like PEKK-CF, PPS-CF, PPSU, and more. It also improves strength and layer adhesion with advanced materials like ASA or PA. The HT Hotend comes with a hardened ObXidian 500 nozzle and works with all versions of the CORE One family.
This easy-swappable 400°C (752 °F) HT Hotend lets you print high-temp materials like PEKK-CF, PPS-CF, PPSU, and more. It also opens up PPS, PPA and other high-end materials.
Printing at 350 °C (662 °F) improves the interlayer adhesion of Prusament PC Blend Carbon Fiber by 7 %. With the HT Hotend, PA11 Carbon Fiber's interlayer adhesion improves by 23 %.
The HT hotend supports PPS filaments filled with carbon or glass fibers. PPS offers a heat deflection temperature up to 250 °C (482 °F) and a UL94 V-0 flame-retardant rating.
PPA Carbon Fiber is a high-performance polyamide with strong resistance to wear, heat, chemicals, and mechanical stress. It has better dimensional stability and lower hygroscopicity than PA6, PA12, and PA612.
The hotend comes with a hardened, non-high-flow 0.4 mm ObXidian 500 nozzle that resists abrasion from most materials.
Skip the tedious nozzle screwing and keep more than one hotend ready, such as the HT Hotend with its hardened nozzle and the standard hotend with a high-flow brass nozzle. It works with the whole CORE One family.
The HT Hotend supports printing PPS filaments filled with carbon or glass fibers. PPS offers a heat deflection temperature up to 250 °C (482 °F) and great mechanical resistance. It also offers extreme chemical resistance and a UL94 V-0 flame-retardant rating. No known solvent can dissolve PPS at temperatures below 200 °C (392 °F).

PPA Carbon Fiber is a high-performance polyamide with strong resistance to wear, heat, chemicals, and mechanical stress. It offers better dimensional stability and lower hygroscopicity than commonly used polyamides, such as PA6, PA12, and PA612.

Prusament PC Blend Carbon Fiber can be printed with a regular hotend, but it gets better properties when printed at elevated temperatures. Printing at 350 °C (662 °F) improves the material's interlayer adhesion by 7 %, making the components more resistant to breaking.

On a regular hotend, PA11 Carbon Fiber is printed at the lowest limit of its temperature range. Printing it with an HT Hotend improves the material's interlayer adhesion by 23 %.
The HT Hotend works with all versions of the CORE One. The CORE One L+ gives the best results because it has the most effective heatbed and chamber heating, with chamber temperatures up to 60 °C (140 °F). The CORE One+ (Gen 2) has slightly longer preheat times and a smaller print volume.

| Maximum working temperature | 400 °C (752 °F) |
| Supported 3D printers | CORE One, CORE One+, CORE One+ (gen 2), CORE One L, CORE One L+ |
| Supported Prusa high-temperature print profiles | ASA, PC Blend, PC Blend Carbon Fiber, PA11 Carbon Fiber, PPS-CF, PPS-GF, PPA-CF |
| Stock nozzle | Hardened non-high-flow 0.4 mm (ObXidian 500) |
Hardened non-high-flow 0.4 mm (ObXidian 500). This is a high-quality, extremely resistant nozzle that resists abrasion from most materials.
It is strongly recommended. Most high-temperature materials emit dangerous fumes.
A 400 °C (752 °F) hotend temperature and a 120 °C (248 °F) heatbed temperature are on the lower end but sufficient for printing such materials. However, a 60 °C (140 °F) chamber temperature is too low. Small components may be printable, but larger parts will cause significant warping and an overall high failure rate.
Yes, the HT Hotend works with all standard materials. However, you might need to change the nozzle depending on the material's requirements. For example, Prusament PETG Ultraglow requires a 0.6 hardened non-high-flow nozzle, whereas Prusament PLA High Speed works best with a 0.4 brass high-flow (CHT) nozzle.
No. Prusa Research strongly warns against printing PLA or any other low-temperature materials at high temperatures. The PLA polymer degrades at 250 °C (482 °F). PLA releases dangerous fumes at higher temperatures and may even ignite at temperatures close to 400 °C (752 °F)! Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines and recommendations for materials you print with.
