The Buddy3D camera features high-quality optics and IR illumination, allowing you to monitor your printer even in complete darkness—perfect for workplaces with 24/7 operation. It’s designed to operate in temperatures up to 65°C, making it safe to place directly in the enclosure.
You can manually adjust the camera’s position within a range of 180° horizontally and 45° upwards. Remote position adjustment using integrated motors will be available in future firmware updates, along with the live stream feature. The camera’s firmware is updated via OTA, ensuring you always have the latest features available.
To pair your camera with the printer, open Prusa Connect, select the printer to pair the camera with, and use the generated QR code to connect it to your Wi-Fi.
The camera firmware was developed under the strict supervision of both Niceboy and our team, giving us full control over every line of code. Your security is our priority, so in addition to thoroughly reviewing the firmware, we subjected the camera to extensive network testing and monitoring. All communication is strictly limited to interactions between the camera and our secure network infrastructure.
The Buddy3D camera is only compatible with Prusa Connect. We’re currently preparing camera mounting options, which will be available for download on Printables once ready.
