E3D Obxidian V6 Replacement Nozzle - 1.75mm
E3D Obxidian V6 Replacement Nozzle - 1.75mm
With a wear resistance that is orders of magnitude higher than any other E3D nozzle, ObXidian is really hard. Several orders of magnitude harder than Nozzle X and indeed any other generic hardened steel nozzle. This is achieved by pairing a tool steel insert with our new E3DLC™ coating. This specially formulated coating also embeds non-stick properties into the Nozzle itself. Meaning considerably less plastic build up around the Nozzle.
Please note:
- We do not recommend the use of abrasive materials with nozzle diameters smaller than 0.4mm.
Key features:
- Material: Copper/Hardened Steel Assembly with E3DLC™ coating.
- Input diameter: 1.75mm
- Maximum temperature: 300°C

Works better than expected
I have used other hardened nozzles and had a lot of issues with material sticking to the nozzle and having to increase extruder temps. This nozzle required zero tuning, material seems to refuse to stick to it, and the overall length was identical to my brass nozzle which didn't even require me to adjust my Z offset when calibrating first the first layer. I have been printing mostly GF nylon and PETG, but don't imagine other materials would have any issues.
Purchased, but Not Used Yet
The buying experience was excellent, as always with Printed Solid. The pieces look excellent in quality and appearance. I will be using them on my MK4s and XL 5 Head printers. More to follow....
E3D Obxidian V6 Replacement Nozzle - 1.75mm
Delivery arrived 1 day early:) Compared to other 0.25mm E3D v6 nozzles installed on their classic all-metal hotend, I feel like PETG sticks slightly less to the Obxidian nozzle than to Nozzle X, and significantly less than brass. Similarly with TPE Shore 75A, TPU Shore 30D, 40D, 95A, 98A.
