Introducing Original Prusa XL Enclosure: Modular box for your XL 3D printer.
Original Prusa XL Enclosure is an optional accessory which seamlessly integrates with the Original Prusa XL 3D printer. It provides a stable printing environment with increased temperatures, making printing from advanced materials (PCCF, Nylon, PP, ASA, and more) much easier. It eliminates drafts, prevents warping and thanks to the Advanced Filtration System (HEPA filter, 99.9% efficiency) it also helps to reduce odors and prevents the spread of ultra-fine particles (UFPS) into the air. The Enclosure also lowers printer noise and covers every moving part of your printer.
Seamless Integration
The XL Enclosure is designed for seamless integration with the rest of the printer. Not just the physical parts, but also the software: because the Enclosure is directly connected to the mainboard of the printer, you can configure a number of useful functions directly through the printer’s LCD touch panel. Set up the filtration performance and even post-print filtration duration (e.g. when you print from materials such as ASA or PCCF) so that the system runs for additional time to filter out all particles produced during the print job, control the LED strips and check the lifespan of the HEPA filter easily in the printer’s menu.
Print Advanced Materials with Ease
Original Prusa XL Enclosure makes printing from certain materials easier, and at the same time, it adds a lot of other benefits. Advanced Filtration System with HEPA filter (99.9% efficiency) helps to reduce odors and prevents the spread of ultra-fine particles (UFPS) into the air. The XL printer automatically controls the filtration and utilizes airflow where the air is drawn in from below and blown through the HEPA filter out of the Enclosure. You can check the temperature inside the Enclosure using the thermometer, located on the Enclosure door (indication only), or using the information on the printer display.
For materials that do not produce as many particles and odors (such as PLA and PETG), filtration is not used to extend the life of the HEPA filter, but can be activated manually. XL printer also monitors HEPA filter usage and notifies you when it will be time to replace it. You can easily order a new filter from our e-shop. The Enclosure also contains an additional LED strip that is synchronized with your XL printer, and, apart from the illumination of the print area, it also serves as the printer status indication light.
Everything is included in the package including plastic parts, you don’t need to print anything on your own. You just need to replace several plastic components of your printer (such as a few parts of the nextruder, or the belt holder) with the parts included in the box, which are made of more heat-resistant material (PCCF). A 3D printer is not a part of the package.
Main Features
Stable Printing Environment
The Enclosure creates a stable printing environment with increased temperatures, shielding the printer from drafts and blasts of cold air. This is perfect for printing demanding high-temperature materials otherwise prone to warping - such as PCCF, Nylon, PP, and more. It also reduces dust build-up on moving parts, which helps keep the printer running and reduces the frequency of maintenance required.
Advanced Filtration System
The filtration system is useful especially when you print from PC Blend Carbon Fiber and other materials that produce particles during printing. It also reduces the odor and prevents the spread of ultra-fine particles (UFPS) into the air, when printing from certain materials.
High-Quality Components
The frame is made of metal and the side and top panels are made from PETG plastic. The frame features mounting elements to install various additional printed parts, electronics, cameras, and other add-ons, and tidy cable management. The Enclosure also contains an additional LED strip, connected directly to the XL printer and synchronized with its built-in LED strips. In addition to illuminating the print area it also serves as a printer status indicator light.
Bellows cover
Some materials, such as PLA perform worse in high temperatures. This is why we designed a special magnetic bellows cover, that can be quickly folded, creating much better airflow to maintain optimal conditions for these materials. This ensures you will be able to print any material without limitations. The bellows cover is made of high-quality and durable polyester and polyurethane.
Unlike usual hinged doors, the folded cover doesn’t take up any extra space on the sides or in front of the printer and also gives you much better access to the entire printing area.

Very nice sturdy enclosure, But................
It is nice, have some very thought-out things to it. But there are some issues, I haven't gotten my belts back to the right tension since installing. Also, if you are getting this to keep heat in you will be disappointed. The feedback from Prusa is that's not what its designed to do. The whole back of the machine is pretty much wide open, along with other gaps in the enclosure. So, it will be very hard to heat the camber in its current configuration.
