E3D Revo™ Micro LGX® Extruder
E3D Revo™ Micro LGX® Extruder
Revo LGX is a world-class extrusion system, thanks to the powerful combination of Revo Micro and Bondtech's LGX extruder.
Revo Micro ensures smooth and consistent filament flow, resulting in high-quality prints with every use. Its lightweight and compact design provides excellent thermal performance, reducing heat-up times and preventing heat creep, even during prolonged printing sessions.
The LGX Extruder is renowned for its large-gear design that delivers outstanding torque and precision. This extruder is built to handle a wide range of filament types and provides excellent grip, ensuring flawless and reliable filament feeding. The LGX Extruder's robust construction means smooth filament delivery, reducing the risk of clogs and improving overall print quality.
Rapid nozzle changing. Change nozzles at room temperature using just your fingers. No complex tools, no hot tightening. Revo Nozzles are a factory-sealed nozzle and heatbreak in one, so they’re easy to fit and can’t leak material when in use. Full range of standard, high flow and abrasive nozzles available.
Performance at the core. The Revo HeaterCore heats up in seconds. A positive temperature coefficient (PTC) means the Revo HeaterCore doesn’t risk melting at extreme temperatures: power reduces as it gets hotter, so hazards are reduced in the event of a thermal runaway.
Please note:
- The Revo Micro fan must be connected using the 5V regulator unless connecting directly to a 5V pin
- You may need to adjust your Z offset when changing nozzles

Best upgrade for mini*
The instructions are clear, and the product just works. I like how it’s a drop In replacement so I didn’t have to mess with any firmware or settings. One thing I would recommend is editing the start and end gcode so that it retracts the filament enough at the end of a print that you can change the nozzle with out heating the nozzle back up again. And then the starting gcode will it extrude the same retract amount so that it loads and prints properly. Overall I wish I had just installed this when I first got my printer instead of the headache that I had changing nozzles with the old hotend. Also, check on Etsy for people who print custom STL and get the mount printed in PC-CF for extra stiffness and strength.
Good hotend (but issues with E3D mount)
Installed this on my Prusa Mini. E3D's first edition mount had heat creep issues. The Mini firmware undervolts the hotend fan, which couldn't keep up when printing PLA. I had no issues printing PETG or ABS. They subsequently released a second edition mount that uses the stock fan. Although this is louder, the heat creep went away. It's now working reliably on my Mini.
The ONLY hotend!
I have been using E3D hotends for over 5 years, now. I run my own print farm where all of my printers are equipped with E3D V6's. When the Revo got announced, I was incredibly excited. When I got one to finally test out, I was blown away. All of the high quality you would expect from E3D in a more convenient package. Running a farm and being able to change nozzles without tools or heat tightening made it a no brainer for me. That convenience alone is worth every penny. I'm currently in the middle of converting the rest of my printers to the Revo. This is the ONLY hotend for me.
Works great on Prusa Mini!
Used this to upgrade my Prusa Mini+ and couldn't be happier!
