Would you like an indestructible nozzle? Try Slice out. With a 64 Rockwell C hardness (Vickers HV 910) minimum rating, it’s virtually unscratchable. It’s actually hard to differentiate between the brand new and the used nozzles (minus the filament residue).

This Slice nozzle also use a repellent coating to reduce plastic build-up on the nozzle, so you are less likely to experience misprints from plastic being scraped across your masterpiece.

People who truly value their prints and put deep care into their finished product — they want the most durable, reliable, premier nozzle to carry out the job.

Or you could buy a couple A2 nozzles and take your chances on them wearing out. But just remember: they’re likely being machined with the metal we use in our nozzles.

That’s embarrassing for you, isn’t it?

Oh, and did we mention that Slice Engineering offers a lifetime warranty against abrasion?

Great replacement / upgrade

Overall, this is a great nozzle. The price can be intimidating, but know that the engineering and QC that has gone into this product is second to none. This nozzle is durable, precise, and it prints very well. I printed a range of abrasives through it too. CF PLA, CF PETG, glow, etc. If you're on the fence, go for it. If you get this nozzle, you've got a lifetime warranty on it against manufacturer defects. It made my prints look like they did when I first build the printer. And, it allowed me to step into the realm of printing abrasives.

This thing is great

At first I thought the thermal properties would be not as good as my E3D copper nozzles but I haven't had a single issue except plastic sticking a bit more but since it it hardened steel you can just use your pair of needle nose pliers to peal that plastic off without damaging the nozzle.

Beautiful lines, almost idiot-proof

The nozzle heats up, melts plastic. Hurray. I got this because I would occasionally destroy a brass nozzle with a poorly leveled setup, grinding and deforming the nozzle against my textured glass bed. This is strong enough to resist that occasional oops. I will say it does NOT shed PETG like nozzleX. If you work with goopy stuff, use the nozzleX instead.

All I use now

The vanadium nozzle was my second hardened nozzle after miserable results with a Ruby and I now have vanadium nozzles on all of my printers. I print mostly TPU and Polycarbonate and while I cannot really put it into words, the vanadium nozzle somehow just produces better prints in my experience. It took me a while to determine that the difference in my prints was literally just the nozzle but I'd swear by it after comparing tons of prints on the vanadium and something like nozzle x. The SE guys are a great to deal with and all in the USA so I'll always buy whatever they bring to market)
