Alloy 910 is an exciting new Nylon blend from Taulman. Strength is extremely high. Toughness is off the chart. Stiffness is higher than other nylons.
But the best part? Its pretty easy to print with. Warpage is lower than ABS. Stringing is lower than other nylons.
Give this a try and there is a very good chance it may become a staple in your printing arsenal. It certainly has for us.
Print temp = 245C 260C
Nozzle = any size
Print speed = equivalent to ABS
Retraction = 1mm/.1mm nozzle or for a .5mm nozzle = 5mm
Print bed = Hot = Glass heated to 45C with coat of PVA
Cold = BuildTak with coat of PVA
Good stuff! Prints as easy as PLA.
This is my first ever nylon filament on my new Robo 3D R1 Plus. I read a lot about this filament before I decided to dive right in. I am so happy I did! This filament prints as well as PLA with none of the ABS requirements I've read about. My extruder temp is 250C and my bed temp is 45C. I used our trusty Aqua Net and so far, no issues with adhesion. Parts pop off the bed a lot easier than PLA as well. Printed Solid is a great vendor and Taulman is a great filament! Highly recommend both! Oh, and the Gummy Bears were delish!
